Hello students!
I'm very excited about this upcoming semester. This week, your Huck Finn papers are due. I'm truly looking forward to reading your essays!
Looking ahead: selected students from this class will be invited to join us at the 92ns street Y on February 24 to see John Banville/Colum Mc Cann read. This week, the coordinator will be joining us to explain this event a little further.
We are about to begin reading one of my favorite books ever: The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald!
Over break you will do a little reading, as well as work on the first draft of your college essay.
This coming Friday, you will also have an SAT vocabulary/Greek and Latin roots test.
Please remember to organize your notebook and let's work on developing our note-taking skills!
Notebook checks will occur weekly
Remember: you can always email me your drafts; I'd be happy to "track changes" and annotate your pieces.
